Keith Haring.

3-31-16.

Keith Haring, who was born on May 4th, 1958 in Reading, Pennsylvania, was a great American artist famous for street culture art.  Keith contributed his talents and resources to variety of cases. He produced sculpture and paintings for health centers, created emblem and logos for public services agencies, even established a foundation in 1989. But the most impressive thing of this man was his widely recognized art.He studied painting in School of Visual Arts in New York City.

This is the Political line finished by Keith in which variety of shapes are well managed in a space and what I like is this piece shows both balance and variety incredibly. Those shapes are really pop out if you look into it, I would say.

Jacob Lawrence is a African-American painter who's famous for his modernist depictions of his daily life as a native American. Born in 1917 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, he experienced the Civil War that brings some changes to his panting during certain period: his work has been focused on the justice and freedom of American within the style of every day life. In late 1960s, his work was characterized by every day imagery and optimistic expression.

        Workshop, 1972.

The Swearing In No. 1, 1977.
I personally some of his pieces that are positive and optimistic expressions are sort of close to pop art in some ways.

Human Form in Art.

Bill.

3-16-2016

Art in the form of human figure goes back ancient time in Egypt: people were portrayed with their head in outline and with entire eyes visible. They kept this Egyptian style in Egypt for approximately 3,000 years. Initially, people were portrayed in the form of profile then things got a little more interesting that people began to put more details in work. As time goes on and with the art has been developed in various doctrines, human figure becomes a popular form of art.
The life drawing shown above kind of inspires me in some ways. It is a good way for people to study shape, line work, tone and surely, human structure. Human figure in art bases on human figure and putting art elements that makes it pops out or something else.

Also these collage are some cool style of human figure arts in which surrealism is also involved in.
I like this piece because it pretty close to my line work style as far as I can see in this picture. Loose line work and gesture drawing makes the figure in this piece even more active, dynamic.
